Stream Cleanups:
In the past, the club has done stream clean-ups. The purpose of a stream clean-up is to increase water quality in a particular stream. This is achieved through the removal of debris from the waterway that can be negatively impacting the stream’s health. Maintaining a healthy stream is vital in supporting a large trout population. The streams on which the fly club conducted the clean up were Spring Creek and the Little Juniata.

Spring Creek Chapter Demonstrations:
The Penn State Fly Fishing club also holds an annual fly tying demonstration for the Spring Creek Chapter of Trout Unlimited. This is an event where members of the Penn State Fly Fishing club teach members of the Spring Creek Chapter how to tie a particular fly. This is always a big event that draws a large crowd. This event is great for the club as it serves as a community outreach event while giving exposure to the club.
